================================================== 27. MAINS FRAMEWORK
QUESTION:
"Map the major tribal and peasant movements in colonial India in terms of their causes, leadership and regional character."
INTRODUCTION:
Colonial agrarian transformation generated diverse movements whose causes ranged from land alienation and forest restrictions to rent, revenue, debt and sharecropping. Their leadership and political character varied according to regional social structures.
BODY:
Kol → Santhal → Munda.
Bastar → Rampa.
Indigo → Champaran.
Pabna → Awadh → Eka.
Kheda → Bardoli.
Deccan.
Sahajanand → AIKS → Ranga.
Tebhaga → Telangana.
CONCLUSION:
The cause–movement–leader–region pattern demonstrates that agrarian resistance was simultaneously local in origin, diverse in social composition and increasingly connected with national and class politics.
================================================== 28. MAINS VALUE-ADDITION
Use:
"The geography of resistance followed the geography of colonial agrarian transformation."
Another:
"The same colonial framework generated different forms of resistance because land, tenancy, forest and credit relations varied regionally."
Another:
"Leadership converted grievances into political programmes, but the material basis of mobilisation remained rooted in local agrarian structures."
Another:
"From Indigo to Tebhaga, the target of resistance increasingly shifted from specific exploiters to wider agrarian structures."

================================================== 40. FINAL UPSC MASTER LINE
The cause–movement–leader–region framework reveals the regional diversity of colonial agrarian resistance: land alienation produced tribal struggles such as Kol and Munda in Chotanagpur, forest restrictions generated Bastar and Rampa resistance, rent and tenancy grievances produced Pabna, Awadh and Eka, revenue demands led to Kheda and Bardoli, while the later growth of Kisan Sabha and Left politics produced Tebhaga and Telangana; leadership transformed these material grievances into increasingly organised political mobilisation.
