Fundamental Duties — Important Amendments

Introduction

Fundamental Duties were introduced into the Constitution through the 42nd Constitutional Amendment Act, 1976.

They were originally contained in Article 51A with 10 duties.

The 86th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2002 added the 11th Fundamental Duty relating to education.
